Odessa is now a mere blood bag, but fate was on her side one night. She escaped the vampire kingdom and ran north in the hope of finding sanctuary.

The next morning when she's found by the scarred Viking-like male who is unable to speak, she finds no fear in his appearance. Instead, they both find comfort in their new companionship, but it doesn't last for long when two worlds try to drive them apart.

What attracted me to the book was the dragon and the human aspect. What attracted me also was a wounded male who lost his voice grossly disfigured and yet stood by his conscience and integrity - their love story was beautiful - and then I decided to read from the beginning of the series - I recommend it to all who love sweeping sagas but it can be read on its own though ) One person found this helpful

I truly loved this story and had to just sit and think about it. I loved Creed so much and felt he was a beautiful character. )

Wow I think this is my favorite at this point. I loved Creeds story. Such a sweet beautiful man who is all alone and hopes to find companionship.. I loved Odessa and her journey to self discovery and love. It was great seeing osirus' and Melina too. Great book ) One person found this helpful
