I love all of Gracie Cooper's books, but I think this is my favorite!!! Serafina is a powerful witch and single mom raising her daughter with the help of her family. When she receives a call about her daughter from her teacher she knows things will be changing for them. What she didn't expect was to meet the sexy teacher Mr. Joaquin Santos. When hs says he needs to knock the sass out of her 😅.. has been lied to by to people she should trust beyond all others, her parents... Serafina and...

I am loving this new world.

I love how Serafina is protective over her daughter and her heart. I love how it's a subtle romance, where the main focus isn't the romance but the story in itself. I love how their relationship blooms. The recliner scene is on point. )

This story is about Serafina, a member of the Umbra coven, her daughter Alma, her chaotic family of witches, and Joaquin. While this story is meant to be focused on Serafina, I felt that I was more drawn to the story of Joaquin. He’s amazing with Alma, puts up with Serafina’s moody family, & is fiercely protective of his girls! I can’t wait to read more from this series. )

Such a good story and follow up to Josefina, where it left you hanging a bit at the end, it closed out nicely in this one. Loved Serafina's POV and the MMC Joaquin aka Mr. Santos, yes please! Even the side character Moises was so fun you wanted more of him. Strong female characters too! Definitely read! )

I’ll be honest, I was a bit hesitant to read this because of how much I loved the first book. But if you’re looking at the five stars above, it DID NOT disappoint.
