This was such a good book! Now Nicole was upsetting my spirit for a minute, but the more her story unfolded I was a little less agitated with her. I do want to know where the mystery man went after Jamison completed the job? What happened when she purchased the building? I hope there is a part 2! )

I really enjoyed Nicole’s character development—she felt layered and interesting, especially for a short story. Overall, this was a solid paranormal romance read with an engaging premise. That said, I wish less time had been spent on her journey with Jamison and more on her connection with the Stone men. This was a great short read. The story pulled me in quickly, and I enjoyed Nicole's journey... she's been through so much, survived so much, and you can't help but root for her. I did find myself wanting more of the gargoyles and the world Nicole stepped into, and a little less focus on Jamison. the concept is better than the content, but it’s a cool & quick read. i wish we could’ve gotten more details/info about the gargoyles & the lore behind them, especially since it’s a fantasy book. spice level is 2 out of 5. )
