My fated mate is my enemy. Yet nothing will stop me from claiming her.
DEIRDRE
I made a horrible mistake. Under orders, I created a virus to drive the Varool from humanity’s new planet. It mutated, killing all of the alien women and our men.
Now, the fate of both our species rests on my shoulders—and between my thighs. To ease my guilt and broker peace, I’ll marry one of the fierce alien warriors and bear his children. All while hiding who I really am.
Their brute of a king claims me, his gigantic body inflaming my desire. Storr’s piercing gaze makes me shiver. If he ever finds out the part I played in all of this, crash landing on the planet will be the least of my worries.
STORR
Humans seized the planet I need for my people. As negotiations deteriorated, varoolian women died. I long for retribution. If I ever find the person responsible—
No. I must set aside my fury to secure my people’s future. Survival demands we reproduce with the enemy.
Although I have no plans to be first, a sweet, musky scent ensnares my senses. Deirdre is my fated mate. I must claim her. She is mine.
Yet consummation does not equal trust. As we battle our way across the untamed planet, suspicions mount. All humans are liars, but Deirdre’s lies may end us both.
Possessed by the Alien King is a steamy enemies-to-lovers romance featuring a growly alien hero, a smart heroine, and plenty of adventure with a guaranteed HEA.

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trope: enemies to lovers/forced proximity Angst: 😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥 Triggers: none What a fantastic read by this first time author! As part of a peace treaty, Deirdre is being forced to marry Skorr, king of the Varool. The more time she spends with him, the more she begins to care about the grumpy alien. But their budding relationship will surely suffer if he learns she was the virologist mistakenly responsible for the virus that killed their people. This was seriously a fantastic...

This one leans into the survival-romance setup with all the intensity you’d expect—clashing cultures, forced proximity, and a whole lot of heat. The sex scenes were a little much for my taste, but they didn’t completely drown out the emotional arc, which was genuinely satisfying. I really enjoyed the survival trope and how the characters were pushed to work together despite having every reason not to. The cultural misunderstandings added friction without feeling repetitive, and watching those...

What a fantastic alien romance! I enjoyed every second of this story. The premise of this series is very cool. Humans have long since evacuated earth and now live on a space station. They find a new planet they hope to settle on, but they aren’t the only ones eyeballing this planet, the Varoolians are too. The humans decide to release a virus onto the Varoolians to trick them into thinking that the new planet makes them sick but things go horribly wrong- now all human men and all Varoolians...

I wanted to love this book. The beginning premise, the last of the human race desperately seeking a new planet, was great. Then it was revealed that the humans created a VIRUS to \"dissuade\" a rival humanoid-type race from also settling on a livable planet. You lost me pretty much right there. Holy cow! So humans destroyed Earth with their wars and technology, then launched the last of themselves into space to start again. After many centuries of searching, they find a planet they'll have to...

The author herself recommended this to me after I posted in a book group looking for a \"feel good\" read. I'm so glad I read it! I have a soft spot for alien romances, and this book really delivered. It's fast-paced (although feels a little rushed at times), steamy, and action-packed. Imagine trekking through the forest with your mortal enemy, who is now your spouse, only for the urge to get freaky taking over you at any time! There's cute animals, a plot twist, and the world's worst camping...
