I LOVED THIS BOOK! The layers to this story! I love Evie and Shadow. He always comes to her rescue. He always protects her no matter the consequences to himself, or to her for that matter. Deliciously dark

This book was deliciously dark, much darker in my opinion than the books of The Lost Girls series from Holly Roberds that I’ve read so far. (This is absolutely a book where you need to check trigger warnings.) And I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. However, it wasn’t perfect. I don’t remember how or when I learned that this book is actually a serial. While I love a story told in a serial format and I don’t mind having those episodes gathered and put together into a single story, there...

Author needs an editor, or a better one. The timeline is messed up, and its listed in the title of the chapter, amateur mistake. Mostly bored, thought it would be better given it was 400 pages rather than a 200 page. Did a lot of skimming over, spends too long dwelling on emotions, maybe the author would have done better making this an emo\\country poem or song. Everyone hurts\\uses\\leaves you. This book. *groan* it was perfect. The suspense. The tension. The monster lover in me was dying for more. I couldnt stop reading! I also bought the audiobook. And the narrators *swoon* I fell for Shadow hard.... )

Whoa…that was a crazy good, dark and twisted story, told from the FMC’s POV. The characters were so rich, I found myself feeling for them and the issues they faced.
