I really enjoyed this book! I loved the paranormal/possession storyline in the historical timeline. Archie has to hide his feelings for men from everyone and he desires to be wanted and loved and then in comes Damaris, a seductive shadow wielding demon who offers Archie what he desires most 😏 Its not incredibly spicy but theres plenty of hot and sweet moments between them, just not extremely descriptive but I dont mind that at all! I liked their connection and how it all wrapped up even though...

Probably 4.5 stars rounded to 5. I was totally hooked the entire time reading the book but after felt like I wanted a little more. This follows the youngest son of an aristocratic family set in an alternate world where there are demons coming from a different realm. This was good but I kept waiting for something more to happen and all of a sudden it was over! I wish there was more excitement and that Alfie got more of a backbone. I was waiting for him to become a stronger person and not to rely on Damaris so much but that never happened. The writing was good but there were a lot of mistakes, hopefully they will be cleaned up before it is published. ) One person found this helpful

Love love love this book! I need more ASAP. Loved the build up of emotions and the entire time I was rooting for the mc's ! Great refreshing love story with a nice fantasy touch )
