Another wonderful Shade romance

I love this entire series, but this is one of my favorites. Very well-written as usual. Since the series is so established, the first half of the book doesn't have to do as much worldbuilding, and the focus is on building an incredibly sweet relationship between the main characters. By the time the conflict came in, I was thoroughly invested in them. Everything that happened between them felt believable and true to who they are as a couple. The way intimacy is between them is written works...

Lol its always the quiet ones you need to watch out for . Meera has been a strong steady figure in all 5 of the previous books. She's to lend a helping hand to be supportive, but we never really know who the real Meera is until this book. You find our how she became an outcast from the hunters , who took advantage of her and how she secretly kept tons of evidence to use against those who hurt u not only her but her friends. She's just didn't know how to relay the information or find the courage...

Loved Meera and Verner but Annoyed at Everyone Else

I loved the couple in this book and loved their sexual dynamic, loved the way their relationship slowly built out of friendship. Super annoyed at the external conflicts and meddling by outside parties that I feel really distracted from this book. Made me hate some of previous characters (and the FMC a little bit) at the lack of communication )

I’m going to be all those things for you too, when you’re ready to let me, and not a single moment earlier.” Verner is probably my favorite Shadow Daddy of the series! Seriously obsessed with how he respected and cared for Meera from the very beginning! I love this series so much! The worldbuilding is next level! )

I’m in love with this series. The characters, the world, the love stories, the spice! I read this in one night. I can’t wait for the next book. I can tell that when this series is done I’m going to have a terrible book hangover. )
