I am doing my very first book review. Please take that into account for my lack of experience. I've read the two prior books released in the series, Take Me to Hell and Capturing Sin, which I enjoyed, and it prompted me to be part of the ARC group. You don't have to read the other books in the series, but it does help for the back stories of the other characters. This is the 3rd installment of Sakura Blacks Playing with Demons series and she doesn't disappoint. While you do nog have to read the first two books in the series as this is a stand alone, I highly recommend doing so as knowing the other characters and world building that occurs in the two previous books enhances this story. I greatly anticipated this book because I love Ms. Black's style and her previous stories. Please read her trigger warnings prior to reading this book, you've been warned....

Always Out Of Place

Eve had always felt out of place even though she is treated as a sister by the Hybrid King it has only gotten worse since her magic turned on her. So she starts on a quest to find out how to fix herself unfortunately her long time crush, Killian, accompanies her along with an unruly hellcat and her sister in law's hellhound. Eve has a lot to learn but most of all she needs to learn that Killian has always loved her in this engaging read. )

I'm going to be honest, Eve made it soooo hard for me to get through this book, I only got through it because I adore Killian. Eve didn't have any character development and evolution until around 86% of the book. She was very naive, very illogical, and continuously ignored advice. She was also very weak willed. I got into this series because of the first book, Take Me To Hell, which I absolutely loved. I liked Capturing Sin as well but after this I'm not sure if I'll continue with the series. )
