Demons & Doves: A Dark Why Choose Monster Romance (Freaks of Nature Duet Book 2)

by Clio Evans

About this book

Welcome to New York City, where the roaring twenties are filled with rippers and revenge.

Florence has returned back home after facing months of torment, but she still cannot escape the demons that haunt her.

A Vampire. A Shapeshifter. A Demonic Jester.

The Rippers have lost everything because of Florence. Her past is dangerously intertwined with their future, and nothing will tear her from their blood thirsty grips. But the further they drag her into hell, the more they realize that fate is far more evil than any monster could be—and that they aren’t the only creatures after the doves.

Love is a weakness. Trust is a weapon. And if these four are ever to find either, they will have to reopen wounds that are better left untouched.

Can the demons love the very human they are destined to hate? Can Florence ever love them back?

In Demons & Doves, you will find the following:

Dark Romance Gender-bent vampire Jack the Ripper Steampunk/Decopunk world Broken FMC that becomes strong Shapeshifting creature Demonic Jester with a thirst for chaos Happy ending

Demons & Doves is the second book in the Freaks of Nature Duet and is a complete story for the characters. No cliffhanger, and the plot threads from book 1 will come to an end. This is a very spicy and dark Why Choose steampunk Monster romance. MMFF.

This book is a LOT

This book made me kind of sit and stare into space after I was done, and I needed some time (and some selective rereading) to process my thoughts. WOAH. Just. WOW. Doves & Demons was my absolute favorite book last year, so I've been anxiously awaiting the completion of the duet. I was fascinated by Florence in book 1 so I was super interested to get more information about her and her villains. This one was even darker than Doves & Demons, in my opinion. My friend and I kept throwing the term...

Love Clio

Clio always kills her stories I am never disappointed. As much as this story is not for me. It is good and I enjoyed the first book, that was also not for me, but I figured why not try the second as well. The first book revolves around Irene, where this book revolves around the other sister, Florence. 100% recommend that you read the triggers this is not a light kinky book. If you have read any Clio Evans books, you know the second part is very true. She is the queen of that but I feel like...

Loved it!

We follow their story on the dove, finding it, how it fits within their group, and of...

Every bit as good as the first or better!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Check the warnings first..... Now, if you made it past the warnings then YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!!! I was hesitant to read this after realizing it was about Irene's sister Florence. I love Doves and Demons so much I didn't want a sequel ruining it. IT. DID. NOT. I immediately fell in love with Morte and didn't think any new monster could compare....then I met Ace. They are the most demonic of the two books but the way they love is so pure. It ended so perfectly too !! ) One...

Not my cup of (likely drugged) tea

April 13, 2024

I RAN to this book after finishing the first one in fevered time. I love me a twisted but ultimately relatable and spicy monster! No yukking guns here, but the morally grey interests in this book are SO over the top for me that the kicks and demands to go so very far pull me out of the scenes. When it begins to flow, someone (usually Jack who is ironically one of the supposedly typically alluring characters) pulls some \"Aren't I just so WICKED!\" mess that just makes me want to rely alive her...
