Demon's Bane (Crescent Coven Book 2)

by Leigh Miller

About this book

A crime between realms. A twist of Goddess-bound fate. A peace between witches and demons threatening to unravel.

The Witch

I want nothing to do with the Crescent Coven. I’m happy with my tea shop and my small magick and my mundane life, and since the coven never wanted me, either, it’s better this way.

But when the High Priestess shows up on my doorstep and issues an ultimatum I can’t refuse, I’m pulled right back into the coven’s unending drama.

Only this time that drama includes a huge, handsome, surly demon who doesn’t trust witches, and who I’ve been paired up with to solve a crime that spans both our realms.

The Demon

The tea witch is my mate.

It shouldn’t be possible, but there’s no denying the instinct that crashes over me when I see her. To claim her. To protect her. To keep her.

But I’m not in this strange human realm to find a mate, and I can’t trust a single member of the Crescent Coven — liars and thieves, the lot of them.

With conflict threatening the newly forged bargain between witches and demons, I won’t forget my purpose here or the justice I mean to find. Even with a witch who smells of tea spice and sunshine, who feels like the other half of my soul, at my side.

Demon's Bane is a steamy fantasy romance with a guaranteed HEA. While it can be read as a standalone, it is best enjoyed after book one in the Crescent Coven series, Demon's Bride.

Such a cute story 😍💕

I loved the first book, but this one is my favorite so far. Rhett and Joan are adorable, and I got so many warm, cuddly feelings from their interactions. It's a cute series with lots of interrealm drama. I was looking for a cutesy book after reading some dark romance, and this was a great pallette cleanser. I'm hoping Esme will get better as the series goes on. But maybe she's the real villain here and we just haven't caught on. )

Cute

This series is just adorable. That is the best way to describe it. The couple is cutesy, fun, and just make for an easy read. Not much tension or darkness, even though dealing with demons. This is one of those books you read when you need something simple and light hearted. Good overall. I will say though....the spice was really good when it happens. )

different

This was different than most books I read but I actually enjoyed it. It was different which made it more interesting. I’m not found of the whole human witch with no powers working at a coffee shop thing but it makes the storyline. )

And actually I would love to have one for Halla as well… I would love to see more of her! And I really really hope we get books on the other 13 realms and maybe have a demon hooking up with a fae? Or a crescent witch with a fae!!! I’m def going to check out the other book series this author has! I am...

Witch and Demon Drama

The realms are open and the veil is healed. Now there is a thief among the humans taking precious crystals from the demon mines. Joan is outside of the coven, but her debts need to be paid. She’s forced to work side by side with a demon to find the truth. He knows she’s his mate, but is he willing to tell her the truth? Are they enough to solve the mystery of the missing crystals? This story was a fascinating quick read. Some smut, a decent plot. He falls first vibes. Knotting. Demons. Witches....
