Celestial Academy is an omnibus of the Celestial Academy series books, Ascend, Descend, and Transcend. Book 1: Ascend This was a great series starter! I really enjoyed all the characters and the twists that are thrown at you during the book. This is a fast burn, which is always great when I typically read slow burns. The book is fast paced and action packed. I was not expecting the ending and I may have cried a bit, but then it gets better. The twist/cliffhanger at the end was shocking and now...

Overall, this is a pretty good series. Kept me interested and had a bit different of a plot line. A little sad it took so long for the fourth mate to come along. )

I consume novels at an absurd rate so I make liberal use of kindle unlimited. Not many books truly stand out, but this one does. Dynamic, well-written characters in a brand new setting with a storyline that was refreshing and complete. ) One person found this helpful

Book 1 was the best, I would have given it a 4 but I think it went downhill. I did finish the book but it was hard. Danica was immature and did some stupid things that almost made me stop reading. I really wish I had liked this better but I just wasn’t a fan of where the story went or all the characters. )

Really enjoyed this book. Great character building, world building and none of the typical tropes that make you cringe. Strong mains with really fun and interesting side characters! )
