Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)

Cooper didn’t mean to summon a demon. He may be a hacker for the Mafia, but he’s not exactly brave or adventurous by nature. He was only trying to do a small, easy job for his terrifying boss and then get back to not leaving the house for days on end. Only now that the demon’s here, promising to be Cooper’s friend for as long as he needs one, Cooper might just be lonely enough to let him.
Chaos knew it was finally his time to get summoned. No more being stuck in the boring Void, no more hanging out with the same three dull demons. It’s time for madness and mayhem and answering to no one but himself. Except Chaos doesn't expect his newest summoner to be quite so…timid. And sweet. And willing to cater to every single one of Chaos’s many wants and whims. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to stick around for an eternity or two.
Now Chaos just needs to convince his new friend that it really isn’t all that scary to be mated to a demon, even one who loves to play with fire.
Calling Chaos is a heated MM paranormal romance. It feature a lonely, socially anxious hacker and the wily, wicked, and slightly feral demon who wants to play with him forever. It also contains “it’s just practice” bedroom lessons, Mafia meetings gone awry, and the joys of stealing your not-boyfriend’s hoodies.

This is the first book in the series that I read and my first book by Grae Bryan, who I discovered after reading her short story in the Love is Magic Anthology. While it would have added beneficial nuance if I had read the earlier books, presumably including those from her Vampire series, this can be read perfectly well as a stand alone. My final thoughts: \"Delightful, splendid, and magnificent.\" The characters were both sweet little menaces and their romance -- punctuated by many happy...

Excellent addition to the series. Can’t decide if it’s my favorite since I loved the romance in book 1 and the cameos in book 2, but these book 3 characters are excellent. Chaos had great lines that made me chuckle. I was worried he’d get annoying or juvenile, but he was written just right. Perfectly chaotic. I also love how pro-children he is since kids are naturally chaos. He and Cooper make a great pair. Now I’m looking forward to the final book with Matteo and Nightmare. I’ve been wanting...

Book 3, of the Demon Bound series, has been on my list of reads for when it comes out. It took a while but now it’s finally here. And What a great book. I love Chaos! A bossy little demon who doesn’t like to be told what to do. Sitting in the Void to what seemed like forever, Chaos decided that no one was ever going to keep a hold of him again. He meant it. But oh does Chaos have a lot to learn when it comes to Cooper. A shy little human who is lonely. Working for Ivan is cousin, Cooper pretty...

Cooper and Chaos were the one nice thing about this book. They were cute together and both calmed each other’s crazy. They were actually shown to like each other and enjoy each other’s company rather than making everything lust based, which I greatly appreciated. The downside to this book is that it feels like nothing happens. The majority of the book shares a timeline with the book before this. The one point of drama that was unique to this book was so random and quickly resolved, it felt...

I love all of Grae’s books, and I think they just keep getting better. The world is crazy, and Calling Chaos is just what I needed—perfect escapism and good writing. I just adored the story of a chaos demon and his puppy. Cooper and Chaos’s journey is sweet and funny and very low angst. I don’t want to get spoilery, but I will say that these boys have to be one of my very favorite couples by Grae. I just adore the super protective Chaos and the super sweet Cooper. They deserve each other ♥️ I...
