Terrifying, suspenseful, and much more

I've read all 4 books and from the first one, being shipwrecked and landing on a vampire island with Axel dying, wrought a connection between a Watcher and Mia. Needing to save her best friend, Jude gave him some of his blood, which was against the Covenant. Mia, a trauma nurse, changed things. The island, which is alive, loved her and it communicated with her. A demon disguised as a beneficent being in a relic wanted the island and Mia for himself, but she and Jude, the Watcher fell in love...

Enjoyed The Whole Series.

This series kept my attention all the way through it. The one thing that I liked most about it, was the fact that there was no profanity, that I seen ,throughout the the whole series. I wish there were more books like this series out there. )

The plot was original and innovative. Could hardly wait to see what happened next. I was also extremely impressed by the audio. The audio was the most enjoyable virtual voice I have heard. The characters had their own unique voice. I absolutely loved this series !!! )

Even sentient islands eventually need an exorcist.

The series finally stops teasing and lets the literal demon out of the basement. Mia spends her time becoming one with the geology while Jude tries to play general against a backdrop of failing blood banks and broken contracts. I appreciated that Axel and Luva actually became a functional team instead of just more background noise for the main couple. The ancient deception reveal felt earned, though the sheer amount of dark magic Mara unleashed made the island feel more like a crowded theme...

Holds you for all 4 books. All the thrills and excitement, not over sexed. You live every moment with the characters. Beautiful ending. )
