Jade, a seemingly normal antique shop owner in Detroit, finds her world turned upside down when a devilish man walks into her quiet shop and informs of her newly inherited estate in a small town on the outskirts of New Orleans. Being always riddled with visions, Jade’s become more intense the more she discovers within the walls of her new estate and amongst the luring trees on its vast property.

With each vision and each discovery connecting her to a world beyond, her reality between the past and the present starts to blur until ultimately she is awoken to who she really is, and the lives she has lived before. Jade is quickly learning many of the new people she has met since moving to this small town may know more about her than they let on. In a crisis with feelings that overwhelm and a decision on whom to trust, Jade must make a decision of her own. But will it be the right one?

This story brought some unique world building element with the way the trees were used in this world with these like demon and godlike beings. I loved A Forever On Rooting of Jade and Hickory. The atmosphere of the forest and the mystery surrounding The Rooted Realm Estate pulled me in right away. Jade’s journey and the visions she experiences make the story feel both haunting and captivating. It’s a great blend of romance, paranormal elements, and gothic mystery.
