For thirteen years, the Caldwell sisters have been defined by a lethal family curse and the bitter silence between them. After their mother’s death, Evie retreated into the walls of their ancestral estate to run an enchanted bed and breakfast, while Florence fled to town, opening a magical bookstore and vowing never to return to Honeysuckle House. They are two halves of a fractured whole, separated by grief and conflicting philosophies on how to survive their bloodline’s dark legacy.
When the house itself begins to turn against them, erupting in mysterious, malevolent flames, the sisters are forced into an uneasy truce. To save their home and the people they love, they must finally unearth the buried secrets of their ancestors. As they navigate the dangerous history of their lineage, they find that breaking the cycle requires more than just raw power; it demands a reconciliation that is long overdue.
This atmospheric paranormal romance masterfully weaves together a slow-burn connection, a poignant second-chance dynamic between estranged sisters, and the warmth of a found-family bond. It is a haunting exploration of generational trauma, proving that the strongest magic is often the courage to heal the past and redefine what it means to be home.

Just because it’s what the family has always done doesn’t mean you must carry it forward A really well done take on generational curses, in this case literally, and the choice/ability to stop them. I enjoyed watching these two witch sisters work thru their trauma. The magical element keeps if from being to overwrought and the love story sub plots add a real hopeful touch. As the “Clara” in my own family’s version of this I thought it struck very true )

Liz Parker’s Witches of Honeysuckle was more than I anticipated. More than a story of a cursed haunted house, witches, and spells. And romance, too. It ended up going emotionally deeper than this. With two sisters, Florence and Evie, coming to terms with how much childhood trauma they had endured that influenced them in ways they didn’t realize. The story conveys this through timeline jumps from past to present, with different characters. Author Liz Parker captured the progression of healing...

Yes, this is a story about witches and curses, but it's also a story about love, family, and healing. I really enjoyed the format, jumping between past and present, to show different generations of witches. It kept me guessing, too! I loved the magic, from the tarot readings to Ink showing up to Honeysuckle House's little acts of love. An all-around lovely read. )

Decent premise but it just dragged and dragged. This story could have been shorter. It was a chore to finish. )

This book took me through so many feelings and emotions. It was cathartic and brought me peace. So often I push back trauma because that seems the safest way to move forward. This book helped me think about life and the wonder of moving on, letting go and finding peace. I loved the human characters and living house. It is a great read. ) 2 people found this helpful
