Andromeda Wildwood is the quintessential perfect witch, meticulously curating every aspect of her life with hex-laced potions and a constant, shimmering smile. For Annie, happiness is defined by pleasing everyone around her, leaving no room for her own desires or hidden flaws. However, her polished world begins to crack when she is assigned to mentor a volatile, headstrong teenage witch in a remote, ramshackle cabin.
This cozy fall fantasy perfectly captures the essence of coven-life, blending magical mishaps with the messy reality of self-discovery. The situation grows even more complicated when the cabin’s owner—a grumpy, reclusive warlock—returns home to find his sanctuary occupied by two strangers. As the unlikely trio is forced into close quarters, the friction between them gradually sparks a profound connection that challenges Annie to drop her facade.
If you are craving a paranormal romance that feels like a crisp autumn evening, this story is your next must-read. Through a delightful blend of grumpy-sunshine dynamics and heartwarming found-family themes, the narrative invites readers to embrace their own imperfections. It is an enchanting reminder that true magic isn't found in being perfect, but in the courage to finally be yourself.

I think this had a lot to do with my difficulty with the audiobook. I found Evie Hargreaves’ accent very hard to understand and was forced to continually play sections over and over again to figure out what was happening. This really took me out of the story and without the ebook to reference, I’m not sure I would have ever known what...

Witch Annie Wildwood makes sure to live her life perfectly - or at least as close to perfect as she possibly can. She has a hard time saying no, which lands her in an unexpected role: mentoring a trouble teenager with powers of her own. From there, Annie's carefully ordered life is thrown into complete chaos. Don't let the title of this book lead you astray...I found this story utterly charming. This was such a cozy read. While there is a touch of romance, it isn't the focus at all, and I...
