Harper Hollingsworth is a witch who has spent her life being told she is not enough. Burdened by a disconnect from her coven and the stinging critiques of her mother’s familiar, she has retreated into a shell of numbness. Seeking only an escape from the crushing weight of her own expectations, she wanders into the Azathe Tea Room—a place where the menus are absent, the tarot decks are essential, and the shadows feel strangely like home.
This enchanting paranormal read masterfully explores the intersection of grief and resilience. As Harper attempts to sink into the quiet corners of the shop, the mysterious proprietor refuses to let her fade away. Instead, she is pulled into a world of oddity and macabre charm, where the healing power of found-family begins to mend the fractures in her spirit.
For those who love their witchy aesthetic with a side of emotional depth, this story serves as a beautiful ode to finding your people in the darkest of places. It is a poignant, atmospheric journey of rediscovery, proving that even a misfit can find a sense of belonging when they finally stop running from their own shadows.

A beautiful ode to grief and depression, the resilience of the human spirit, and the endless search for matching shades of black. This is easily one of my favorite Cambric Creek novels. The themes of depression and grief are handled so beautifully. While Nascosta accurately reflects the burden of grief and depression, you can’t help but feel uplifted as Harper’s character arc progresses. I LOVED the tea shop, filled with curiosities. I love that the host is a cat and that divination determines...

So good but ends abruptly- feels unfinished. Multiple story points left without any explanation, no closure at all. Great character development though and emotional build. Tapers off at the climax so the end is disappointing but again good as a whole. Not as steamy ad the others in the series either ) 15 people found this helpful

Highlights: • Goth Girl Fit Checks • BFE- Big Fall Energy • Queer • Found Family This story is so different than any others in the Cambric Creek universe but I am here to scream it from the tallest tower that I couldn’t be happier that CM gifted us this book. It is spectacular. If you have ever felt other. If you’ve ever experienced grief or depression. If you’ve ever been unsure of what you want to do with your life. This book is for you. Reading about Harper’s experience of grief was both...

Nascosta is one of my favorite authors boasting a unique style and wonderful way to make the fantasy aspects seem plausible and real. This book compared to her other Cambric Creek books is just average - good, but not great in my opinion. If you have lost a loved one recently, this book will hit differently and the same if you have suffered from clinical depression. A lot of grace can be found in this story. The romance is slow and not really the focus, instead the friendship and building of a...
