The prose was mesmerizing and lush. I apreciate the imagery created by the author. I found the convoluted timelines to be confusing initially but it became a bit easier to follow as the story progressed. The only issue I encountered was with the books momentum. Thank you to Hachette Audio and Orbit for the ALC! I’m conflicted with this one. I enjoyed the magic system of reincarnation and stories, BUT as a reader, this was an extremely hard system to figure out and piece together with the hints they gave us.
