First of all, YES, 400-something pages. I love me a big book, and I was so excited to see that Lee was giving us a bigger bite of Maven's adventures in Shadow Heart. This was one of the better books that I've read recently, and I read a lot, so that's saying something. I finished book 1 and book 2 in the same day. I didn't plan on that.
