Oops! I Summoned a Liderc

by Regine Abel

About this book

What starts as a simple errand to retrieve forgotten belongings from an old flat turns into a supernatural catastrophe for Coral. When she accidentally hatches an egg left behind by her spiteful former roommate, she doesn't find a creature—she finds Vazul. He is a Liderc, an insanely attractive demon with a razor-sharp tongue and a wit that is as dangerous as his elemental magic.

This spicy paranormal romance masterfully blends forced-proximity tension with a deliciously slow-burn dynamic. As Coral and Vazul are thrust together by circumstances beyond their control, the chemistry between the mortal witch and the captive demon sizzles. However, their growing connection is threatened by the return of Angelique, a wicked witch determined to reclaim the demon for her own dark purposes. Coral must decide if she is brave enough to shield Vazul from a fate worse than death or if she should cut her losses and flee.

Perfect for fans of Witches Love Monsters who crave high-stakes magic and irresistible otherworldly encounters, this standalone story packs an intense punch. It is a wild, feral ride that proves even the most carefully laid plans can be ruined by a single, accidental summoning.

I Am Feral, okay? Feral.

Oops! I Summoned a Lìdérc ate me alive. Regine Abel, you evil genius. Five stars. No notes. Actually, many notes, because I am feral. This woman could write a grocery list and I would probably still swoon, but this book? This book reminded me exactly why I ration her stories like a dragon guarding treasure. I dragged 158 pages across three days on purpose because I did not want it to end. That is how bad I needed to stay in this world. Coral was such a good heroine. A Black budding witch trying...

Good Read

This was a pretty short read and it was pretty good. I liked the overall plot and the spice was there. I might read the other books in this series, but I’m still deciding on that. )

Good vs bad

Love how through all Coral went through, not once did she forget who she was. Her true friend was there but didn't have the power to truly be a friend. The other got just what was deserved of her. )

would’ve been higher star rating

But the book was full of grammatical errors, I’m talking 25+. I stopped keeping track at that point. I understand indies can’t afford editing, but at least have some honest friends or free beta readers help you. One this I did like was how much I hated Angie, the ‘enemy’ in the story. Any author who can write the bad guy to the point where you hate them is great storytelling. ) 5 people found this helpful
