Bespelled (Standard Edition) (The Bewitched Series, 2)

by Molly Harper
Alice Seastairs has spent her life carefully curating a quiet existence, hiding her formidable magical talents from both the world and her own coven. As a shy antiques expert, she prefers the company of inanimate objects over the messy complications of coven-life. However, her orderly world shatters when she is hired to restore the Duchess Hotel—a crumbling, spirit-filled estate owned by the irresistibly buttoned-up and skeptical Collin Bancroft.
What follows is a delightful collision of necromancy and charm. As Alice works to appease the hotel’s mischievous ghosts, she finds herself drawn to Collin’s unexpected kindness. Their relationship blossoms through a slow-burn romance that challenges her isolation and forces her to confront the shadows of her past. It is a classic tale of second chances, where the sparks flying between the witch and the skeptic are just as potent as the spells keeping the hotel’s hauntings at bay.
Perfect for fans of paranormal romance, this story excels as a cozy, found-family adventure. Molly Harper masterfully balances laugh-out-loud humor with genuine emotional depth, making Starfall Point a place you will never want to leave. Whether you are seeking magical shenanigans or a heartfelt journey of self-discovery, this enchanting read delivers a spellbinding escape.

I stumbled upon Witches Get Stuff Done by Molly a year or so ago and fell in love with all three women. They are witty, the different mysteries of the island are fantastic and I consistently laugh out loud. Alice always being the more reserved, with pressure from her family it was great to see her finally navigate the challenges presented to her and come into her own. I have always cheered for her on the sidelines and was excited to finally get to see her have her time!! )

Ive read Molly Harper for over 15 years and this one just didn't feel as conclusive as I hoped for the end of a trilogy it would. Also lots of little say what moments. Audio book had page by page discrepancies that made me have to do a rewind a few times. Personally the book was better than the audio. Love the address of how the teens are so different than the adults and how intuitive they are in the feelings as a 36yo mom with two teens (boy and girl ironically) I felt a deep connection to...

This was the first book in Harper’s series that I read and I found myself staying awake way too late to keep reading. An interesting world and great characters. Highly recommend. )
