Sloane MacGregor never intended to set foot in Briarhaven again, but fate has a funny way of calling a witch home. With her twenty-fifth birthday approaching and her family’s centuries-old curse threatening to unravel her future, she is forced to return to the misty Scottish highlands. She expects a warm welcome, but instead, she finds herself in a brewing storm of haywire magic and local suspicion.
Enter Knox Douglas, the town’s impossibly grumpy mayor and the man who once held a secret torch for Sloane. As the guardian of Briarhaven’s fragile peace, Knox is determined to keep the chaotic MacGregor witch far away from his carefully curated sanctuary. This classic grumpy-sunshine dynamic creates a delightful friction that crackles with every encounter, turning their forced proximity into a high-stakes battle of wills.
This charming urban fantasy is the ultimate cozy escape for fans of second-chance romance and whimsical magic. As the sisters work to break their bloodline’s hex, the romantic tension between Sloane and Knox reaches a boiling point that could either save or destroy the town. If you are looking for a spellbinding read filled with sharp wit and enchanting Scottish atmosphere, your next favorite obsession has arrived.

Thus the sisters have been moving around for the majority of their lives. They come home to Briarhaven to help their grandmother recover from hip surgery and to try and break the curse. However as soon as they arrive snow starts falling despite it not being winter. Knox...

Was so happy and excited to read this book. I was not disappointed I was impressed. I loved everything about this story. The characters were developed so well that I could. Visualize each of them. My favorite character is Blue who is adorable. I fell in love with him before I even knew how important his name is to our beloved author. The book had all the feels, anger, saddness, excited, and happy. I was along for Sloane's journey and I loved my front row seat. Cannot wait for the next book in...

I'm not sure I would call this a slow burn romance? It's definitely fantasy as there is magic! For readers of Tricia O'Malley , the elements of Scots and magic and mythical beings will not be brand new. For tbose new to her work, you'll find a unique blend of common day elements and fantasy blending together. Family dynamics are also explored in a number of ways. Mom in law who is a pain? Yup. Grandmother who is wise and stubborn? Yup. FMC with eldest daughter syndrome and a caring heart?...
