Wren Vesper thought surviving an ancient, encroaching Darkness was the hardest part of her new life as a witch. After discovering her heritage and moving to the charming, mist-shrouded town of Sedgwick Cove, she is desperate for a normal summer. She craves long, lazy days at the beach and the thrill of mastering her burgeoning powers at a magical academy, but fate—and the local solstice pageant—have other plans.
As the town prepares for the elaborate summer festivities, a sinister plot stirs beneath the surface. The Darkness she narrowly defeated is merely biding its time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike again. Wren soon finds herself at the center of a dangerous mystery, forced to rely on the fierce bonds of her found family to protect everything she holds dear.
This enchanting installment of the Vesper Coven series masterfully blends the intrigue of coven life with the atmospheric charm of a historical coastal setting. For fans of paranormal romance, it offers the perfect mix of high-stakes magic and the heartwarming power of friendship. As the shadows lengthen, Wren must learn that true strength lies in the connections we forge, even when the spark of magic threatens to burn everything down.

Once again light wins over darkness. Never underestimate yourself or the power of love and friendship. After being duped, it can be difficult to trust in the unknown..a good read. Can’t wait to continue on to the next book. )

Enjoyed reading this 2nd book. It took me a while because I had been engrossed in another series that is so different than this type of book. It was a fun read with a few frustrating parts as it was repetitive in MFC and her angst. I think it is more YA and so it could be why. 4.5 ⭐️. ) One person found this helpful
