by Tiana Warner
Moving to Vancouver for university was supposed to be about finding a fresh start, not uncovering a supernatural underworld. When Katie discovers her new kitten is cursed, she stumbles into the orbit of Natalie, a stunning witch tasked with containing dark magic. Katie quickly learns she possesses a rare, dangerous talent for detecting curses, a gift that forces her into the clandestine world of coven life and forbidden secrets.
This gripping sapphic paranormal romance masterfully blends the high-stakes tension of an academy setting with the atmospheric allure of necromancy. As Katie and Natalie join forces to neutralize cursed objects, they find themselves hunted by the ruthless Madsen family. With the line between protecting the city and protecting each other blurring, their professional partnership ignites into an irresistible, slow-burn romance that defies coven law.
Fans of dark romance and found-family dynamics will be hooked by the mystery and the intense chemistry between the leads. Tiana Warner delivers an addictive story where high-stakes magic meets heart-stopping attraction. If you are searching for your next binge-worthy read filled with ancient curses, magical intrigue, and a love story that could cost them everything, this is the perfect addition to your shelf.

I enjoyed the intriguing plot and unraveling mystery. The book was well written and the romance between the two main characters alluring. I did at times feel annoyance and disbelief at how three regular humans were such a match for an entire organization of witches,Especially when it came to the battle scenes. Regardless,I will read any subsequent books in the series. ) One person found this helpful

This is a really great read. There is some spicy romance, but there is also a lot of intrigue and drama. The plot is interesting and the characters are great. We are left in a bit of a cliff hanger, which I am not a great fan of. But let's see what the next book shows us. )
