About this book

Set against the atmospheric, snow-dusted backdrop of Victorian York, this enchanting tale follows Lizzy Grimm, a young woman desperate to keep her late father’s antique shop from ruin. Grimm Curiosities is no ordinary store; it is a sanctuary for the uncanny, filled with relics that hum with eerie, spectral energy. When Lizzy crosses paths with the enigmatic Antony Carlisle, they discover a haunting connection: both their families have been devastated by a mysterious affliction that leaves loved ones trapped in a silent, ghost-haunted trance.

As they join forces to uncover the truth, they unearth a collection of forbidden folktales and ancient yuletide myths that hold the key to their families' fates. This bewitching historical fantasy masterfully weaves folklore into the fabric of 19th-century England, perfect for readers who crave a slow-burn paranormal romance wrapped in a chilly, festive mystery.

If you are looking for a story that balances gothic suspense with the warmth of a holiday read, this is your next obsession. With its atmospheric setting, charmingly creepy shop, and a compelling mystery that threatens to unleash an ancient, dark power, this novel offers an immersive escape into a world where magic and history collide in the most delightful way.

A Most Agreeable Excursion into the Supernatural: A Review of Grimm Curiosities

May 3, 2025

It is with considerable delight that I recount my experience with Grimm Curiosities, a most charming and atmospheric tale set in the venerable city of York during the 1880s. stumbled upon gold

I’ll be honest, I was scrolling through kindle unlimited looking for something trashy and vaguely mind numbing to read after a long day at work when my husband distracted me and I accidentally hit the button to download this. I shrugged and thought “well, it’s on my kindle, I should read it I guess,” and I am so thrilled that I did. This book has everything I love: romance, magic, mystery, ghosts, folklore, and the list goes on. I knew it was going to be a five star book before I even hit 25%....

Great quick mystery with a cozy atmosphere

November 12, 2024

When I got this book, I was not expecting the Christmas atmosphere that was through out the book. I was pleasantly surprised at the cozy feel of the book along with the suspense that I expected to be there. This book has Christmas, folklore, ghost, mystery, and historical social society drama all in one. It’s set in the mid 1800s. Lizzy Grimm’s father is gone and her and her mother have a shop to keep running so that they can pay bills and such. There are a lot of things against Lizzy including...
