Isidora Avramov is a thrill-seeking demon summoner with a secret dream of escaping her family’s witchy legacy to pursue a career in fashion. As a wild child who thrives on chaos, she is the polar opposite of Rowan Thorn, a stickler for the rules whose noble, by-the-book nature makes him her ultimate nemesis. These two have been locked in a bitter, long-standing rivalry that defines their respective magical bloodlines, making them the last people on earth who should ever work together.
However, when a dark, dangerous force begins sabotaging the upcoming Beltane festival and puts a member of the Thorn family in the crosshairs, the Avramovs are the primary suspects. To clear her name and protect her family, Issa is forced into a reluctant partnership with Rowan. This high-stakes investigation thrusts them into a classic grumpy-sunshine dynamic, where forced proximity turns their mutual loathing into a burning, undeniable attraction.
Perfect for fans of urban fantasy, this enchanting sequel delivers everything you crave in a paranormal romance. Between the spellbinding mystery and the sizzling enemies-to-lovers tension, it is an addictive, wicked romp through a world where magic is real and the sparks fly just as fast as the hexes.

Tw: possession I loved it. I figured I would. Book 1 was amazing! And I was very much hoping this book would be just as good. I do remember thinking she would end up with the other thorn twin at the end of book 1 one though. Or another girl since she is for sure not straight, but Rowan is good too. Loved the entire idea of this. They are forced to work together to solve this magical crime and it’s just peak forced proximity. Tropes: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, coworkers, opposites...

Payback's A Witch was one of my favorite reads last year, so I have been excited for this sequel ever since. While I did really enjoy this book and it was a great kick off to all of my reads for spooky season; I will say that I did like the first book better. I love that we get to go back to Thistle Grove; I adored getting to know more of the founding families and seeing how they all work together (or don't in some cases). I enjoyed the premise of this story and was interested from page one. I...

I absolutely loved this book! It had everything one could ever want on a book, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and magic! I loved this world in book one and book two just made me love it more! Issa and Rowan are wonderful characters and their story was just beautiful! Really good magical read all year round, but I definitely loved reading this for Halloween! Highly recommend also the punny name makes it even better! ) One person found this helpful

Having read 4 of the series now, this one somehow felt off to me. It's like the more the (straight love)story progresses, the less the MC becomes. I should feel her growing into herself, expand, unfold - but instead I got diminishing and tamed. I just can't shake the unsettling feel of this process going in all the right ways on the surface while eroding everything beneath. Yay for MC and LI, nay for me as reader. )

From Bad to Cursed is an enchanting, enemies to lovers romance with lots of forced proximity and a seriously steamy slow burn. This book was full of magic, mystery and so much chemistry. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, Payback’s a Witch, and was excited to travel back to Thistle Grove for Issa and Rowan’s story. Thistle Grove is the witchy, queer version of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls; the town is idyllic, charming, and full of surprises. This book follows Isidora (isn’t that...
