I absolutely LOVED this new world and all the characters within! Wow...what a unique and thrilling concept. I was on the edge of my seat the entire read. Filled with oodles of intrigue, slow burn, and centers around one fantastically resilient, and fierce FMC. The world building is beyond top notch, and the characters are complex, layered and have so many colors. I couldn't put this gem down until I read the very last word! ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 🌶️🌶️/5 Oh man guys she COOKED with this one. I've read several books by Mrs. Eva Chase and I have to say this one by far is my favorite. This book could have suffered from first book syndrome so bad where it just feels like a lot of exposition and set up thrown at you and it's a slog to get through, but I think I read this in about 24 hours.
