Ava Helacourt has spent her life as an outcast, perfecting the art of demonology to keep the mortal realm safe from the monsters lurking in the rifts. But when her coven captures Rory, a man held hostage by a predatory demon named Vain, Ava’s rigid world begins to fracture. What starts as a standard exorcism quickly spirals into a dangerous, high-stakes game of survival and desire.
This dark romance plunges readers into the gritty, atmospheric depths of coven-life, where the boundaries between savior and sinner vanish. As Ava digs deeper into the bond between Rory and his possessor, she finds herself caught in a volatile MMF dynamic that challenges her morality and her heart. The lines between human and demon blur, forcing her to confront a terrifying truth: saving Rory’s soul might require the total destruction of her own.
If you are craving a paranormal romance that leans into the taboo, this is your next obsession. Katia Black crafts a haunting, sensual narrative defined by a compelling found-family dynamic and the irresistible allure of a tatted-up demon. Prepare for a visceral journey through blood and ichor that will leave you questioning just how much darkness you are willing to embrace for love.

Holy wow. I am blown away at how much I really enjoyed this book. It would have been a 5 stars but I did find myself struggling with the FMC a bit. HOWEVER, it does not take away from how much I loved Black's storytelling and writing. Her unique storyline had me rooting for the demon and the possessed human at the same time. Black had done love triangle EXTREMELY well. It was a true love triangle and that's what rated this high for me. This book definitely had me foaming at the mouth for more...

I read this in one day. I didn't want it to end! The character art sold me, but the writing had me staying. This was a solid read for spooky vibes. I want more in this weird (in the best way) alternate world Katia has created! )

There is some plot going on but the bulk of the book was focused on the budding relationship between our witch...

This book was a great mixture of spice, sadness, vulnerability and love. I enjoyed how each character interacted with one another and the end was *chefs kiss* everything I had been wanting. )
