Edith has spent her life being told she does not fit in. As an autistic woman with a fierce passion for battling wildfires, she is tired of being rejected by crews who underestimate her potential. She finds solace in isolation, working a remote firewatch tower until a sudden, unnatural inferno forces her into action. Facing down a blaze is one thing, but confronting a demonic rabbit at the heart of the flames is quite another.
Enter Rory, a griffin shifter and the rugged leader of an elite firefighting crew. He is used to managing supernatural emergencies, but he is completely unprepared for the capable, mysterious woman who saves the day before he can even land. When he realizes Edith is his fated mate, he is determined to bring her into his world. The only problem? She thinks he is hallucinating, and she is not convinced she belongs anywhere, let alone with a shifter who sees her true worth.
This delightful paranormal romance blends high-stakes action with a heartwarming found-family dynamic. With a chaotic crew, a touch of humor, and a growing mystery, this story is a must-read for anyone seeking a unique shifter adventure with authentic, respectful representation.

The set up and world building was pretty good; maybe would have liked a few more questions answered. The character development was strong and the supporting characters were good. I thought the conflict between the MMC and the FMC were realistic both in their appearance and in their resolution. I also very much appreciated the handling of the autistic character and the way the other characters both did and didn't handlenif. It felt rather authentic but not invasive to the story. Good book and I...

First off, I felt that the representation of an autistic character in this book was very well done. I truly appreciated it. It wasn’t perfect, but it was respectful. The story itself was very interesting. A team of shifting firefighters with some kind of supernatural lighting thing and a demonic bunny. It’s imaginative for sure. There’s more suspense then the blurb prepares you for, but the comedy in the beginning was lovely and I think the blurb was great for that. I personally feel like there...

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I buy all of Zoe Chant’s books because I love her HEAs and her style of writing! Of course, I bought this one too! The cover is beautiful in more ways than one! Okay the Fire & Rescue Shifters was one of my most favorite series, so this spin-off is already a hit for me. I...

I loved this story. Rory and Edith are super characters who make you love them. Edith is dealing with an issue that I have never seen in a heroine. It was well done and very insightful. I won't say more, as I don't want to give it away. There was a lot of action in this story and 2 seriously different villains ... or are they both villains? This story moved at a breakneck pace with a hopeful tone, an action and character oriented storyline with some steamy scenes and vivid, unique characters....

I'm sure the Wildfire series can stand on its own perfectly well. I loved this installment. I'm curious to know what will happen with the rest of the Wildfire Crew when they (inevitably) meet their mates. Not everyone is going to end up on the Hotshot Crew like Edith does! I happened to love Fire & Rescue series: Firefighter Griffin, Pegasus, Unicorn, etc. At the very end of Firefighter Phoenix, there's the Origin Story of this group of Wildfire Crew. In that, we actually learn a lot about some...
