A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

by Christine Feehan
Fleeing a lethal past and a faceless assassin, Rachel has staged her own death to escape a life of terror. She seeks refuge in the dense, suffocating beauty of the rainforest, hoping the isolation will finally grant her safety. But she soon realizes that the jungle hides more than just shadows. Among the exotic flora walks Rio, a man who radiates raw, untamed power and carries secrets as deep as the forest itself.
As a gripping entry in the urban-fantasy genre, this story masterfully blends high-stakes suspense with the primal allure of the shifter trope. Rio is a creature of instinct, possessing a fierce, predatory nature that both terrifies and ignites Rachel. Their collision is inevitable, sparking a volatile attraction that tests the boundaries of trust and survival. The lush, atmospheric setting serves as the perfect backdrop for their intense, fated connection.
For fans of paranormal romance seeking a story that balances heart-pounding danger with searing passion, this is a must-read classic. Christine Feehan weaves a world where the line between human and animal blurs, forcing her characters to confront their deepest fears. If you crave a dark, captivating escape into the wild, this tale of surrender and discovery will keep you spellbound until the final page.

One of Feehan's best! A woman, \"Rachel\" trying to escape from a violent past that was not her fault goes to the rain forest hoping to start a new life. She meets up with \"Rio\" who has lived in the rain forest all of his life and who works with a group of men who rescue kidnap victims. Sounds far fetched but it is not. Kidnapping businessmen, missionaries and other people and holding them for ransom is a common occurance in South America. What makes this story stand out is that Rio and his...

I cannot count how often I have read this book. It was good to read it in an easier format. The beauty of the rainforest shared with us. The glory of the Hon Vol Dan. Characters introduced that will create more complicated story lines. This is the beauty of Christine Feehan. She doesn't write books, as another fan stated, she creates worlds. Thank you CF for sharing your creations with us, for making life just a bit better. )

Such a good book but I did catch something that I didn’t catch when I’ve read this book over and over again through the years. Rio either did not know about the nine lives things or he thought it was a myth and I don’t know if it was the whole one true mate thing he thought was a myth or the past lives. Thinking about it, I really don’t recall anyone being ‘new’ but, I think it’ll be fun to find out and I really think my reviewing allowed me to catch that important tidbit. It was a bit...

I love all of Christine Feehan's amazing books/series, but it normally takes me at least 2 days to finish one. This one, this couple, kept me so intrigued that I stayed up reading all night and into the morning. I could not put it down. I can't wait to read the next, and the next, and the next!!! )
