Abyssian Infernas is the terrifying King of Hell, a demonic monster bound by a centuries-old curse and a thirst for vengeance against a fey beauty who betrayed him lifetimes ago. When he finally captures her reincarnation, the delicate but fiercely bold Princess Calliope Barbot, he expects to revel in her suffering within his volcanic castle. Instead, he finds himself trapped in a volatile game of wits with a woman who refuses to be a victim.
This installment of the Immortals After Dark series masterfully breathes new life into the classic Beauty and the Beast dynamic. Blending high-stakes urban fantasy with an intoxicating grumpy-sunshine romance, the story pits a brooding, ruthless royal against a spirited heroine who is more than capable of turning his dark kingdom upside down. As their animosity shifts into a reluctant, simmering attraction, the chemistry between these two ultimate tricksters becomes as dangerous as the brewing supernatural war surrounding them.
If you crave paranormal romance filled with angst, sharp humor, and lush, otherworldly world-building, this is your next obsession. It is a spellbinding tale where ancient curses and long-buried secrets threaten a bond that defies the very gates of hell.

Wicked Abyss is the seventeenth novel in Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series. This was my first time reading Wicked Abyss. It reminded me of a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and Hades and Persephone, which both are my favorite to read in romance books. I purchased it a long time ago since Kresley Cole is one of my auto-buy authors. I never got a chance to read it since I was working full-time, and I’m making up for it now, especially since the most recent novel was released in early...

After reading this book, I think I'd like my next vacation to be in hell. I mean, Mrs. Cole painted an amazing picture of Sian's home. The castle, the sea, the volcanoes, and the creatures were given so much detail that I could picture them all in my mind long after I closed my kindle. I really, really, REALLY appreciated the fact that she did so much world-building in this book, and I loved how she managed to tie the scenery with the characters' emotions and the plot. Another thing that I...

This was so incredibly good! I think I love Cole’s demon’s the best out of all her characters. Abyssian being the primordial demon takes the cake. I mean seriously you can’t get any more badass than that. This is the first of Cole’s books that I have listened to via audiobook. Robert Petkoff is an excellent narrator and I had no problem immersing myself into this world. This is one of those series that I want to start over from the beginning are read over and over again just so I can revisit...

I absolutely love this entire series. Kresley's imagination is limitless & her unique writing style enraptures me at every flip of the page. How she creates her characters & their intricate personalities, mystical identities, quirks, idiosyncrasies, humor & sexuality is beyond my comprehension. I'll read a story synopsis & think to myself, \"Self, how is she going to make this an HEA with a demon & fey?\" I just can't even begin to fathom how that or any of the other couplings in her stories...
