A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

by Gena Showalter
When schoolteacher Elizabeth Elle Darcy vacations in the Scottish Highlands, she expects ancient castles and scenic vistas, not a body-swapping nightmare that leaves her married to a total stranger. Awakening in the life of a billionaire’s bride, she quickly realizes her new husband, Callen Bruce, is far from a typical tycoon. He is a king of berserkers, a warrior locked in a brutal, centuries-old supernatural war against vicious wolf-shifters.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends the high-stakes tension of an academy setting with the atmospheric allure of historical folklore. As Elle desperately searches for a way to return to her own life, she finds herself trapped in a forced-proximity marriage with a man who is as disciplined as he is lethal. Callen is convinced she is a pawn of fate, and despite his initial hostility, the undeniable heat simmering between them threatens to consume them both.
Fans of Norse mythology and sweeping, fated-mate narratives will be hooked by the intense chemistry and world-building. Showalter delivers a high-octane experience that feels like a modern, supernatural Outlander, perfect for readers who crave moody heroes, secret societies, and forbidden desires. Prepare to be swept away by this addictive, fast-paced descent into a world of primal fury and unexpected love.

Yup, started reading as soon as it hit my Kindle and didn't stop until I turned the last page. It was fabulous! The characters, the mythology, the story, loved every moment. A few typographic errors, but nothing I couldn't figure out without hindering my enjoyment of the story. Now I can't wait for book two. ) 4 people found this helpful

I really enjoyed this listen! It had Outlander Vibes with a modern aesthetic plus a sprinkle of wolves and Norse Mythology. The narrators cadence was a smidge slow, but once bumped up to 1.5 it was a good listen. I found her variety of accents and voices to be perfect! I give this series starter 4.5 stars. If only this book had come out in the era of Black Dagger Brotherhood and the Fever Series! It’s right on par with both of them! I enjoyed the premise of body swapped. The twists and turns...

I HATE series that are each about a different person/person. It should be a standalone and realest them differently. I read to the end of the book expecting another one to continue said book and story and found a new story with new characters... I thought I was going into a full on series with characters I would grow with. Now with that out of the way. The book was exceptional but I will not read any of the others. ) One person found this helpful

I've read almost all of Showalter's books. I love her style and her stories. However, this was a bit slow for me. The plot is a great deal of the character arguing with the love interest. It gets to be the same conversation over and over until bam. They fall in love? The heat is meh in this as well. As a whole, I do not recommend buying. At most borrow a copy. ) 5 people found this helpful

The Wrong Bride is a delightful, enchanting story. The characters are interesting and exciting. It's a lovely fairy tale that kept me spellbound and glued to my seat. Couldn't put it down. )
