A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

Annie has spent years perfecting the art of avoiding her past. As a wolf living with the constant hum of anxiety, she thought she was safe once her fated mate, the wild wolf Justus, walked out on her. She chose to believe his rejection was final, burying her trauma under the routine of pack life. But fate is rarely so kind, and when Justus returns to trespass on her territory, the fragile peace she built begins to crumble. This time, the hunter has become the hunted, and the chase is far from over.
Justus knows he made a mistake. He once viewed Annie as damaged, a woman too tethered to human ways for his wild heart, but his absence has only sharpened his obsession. Now, he is determined to bridge the gap between them, even if it means forcing her to face the bond she has spent years trying to forget. He must learn that catching his mate is only half the battle; earning her trust is the real challenge.
Fans of the Five Packs series will recognize this gripping addition to the paranormal romance genre. Expertly weaving together enemies-to-lovers tension, intense pack dynamics, and the deep emotional resonance of found-family, this story offers a raw look at healing. If you are searching for a fated-mates tale that balances high-stakes shifter action with a hard-won happily ever after, this is the addictive read you have been waiting for.

Some of this author's books end too soon for me but that, and many other reasons, is why she is a good author. I felt like Annie and Justus's story was just beginning. I feel like there is more to tell and more to see. There are some unanswered questions, like how are the first/last pack wolves able to shift \"normally.\" Is it the magic of them being together, living as nature intended or is it something they teach from birth? And why exactly do they call Kennedy the \"blesses one.\" There...

I’m glad we get to read Annie’s story, I hadn’t realized this was about one of the unmated females from the Tyrant Alpha’s Rejected Mate arc beforehand. I can hardy wait until we get to read Kennedy’s story, a female with a male wolf, which will be a great read too. Because of Annie’s anxiety disorder (basically PTSD) she has suffered from fear and a debilitating inner voice that has made her afraid of everything. We hear a lot of that in this story as we get to know her better as well as her...

have been a somewhat ambivalent reader of Cate C. Wells’ Five Packs series. I don’t generally enjoy omegaverse or fated mates, I particularly don’t love rejected mates. But, I always enjoy Wells’ writing and I have appreciated the way she moves the Five Packs world from dismissive/abusive towards women to somewhat more equitable. It’s still a society with built in inequality and the pack members rights are only as strong as the alpha is willing to grant and enforce. There is quite a bit of...

The story is ok but the author overdid Annie's anxiety. It's ridiculous especially when her mate is doing everything he can. Very frustrating. I cant believe he was so patient. I did not care for all the reminiscing about the past - \"when I was younger...my uncle, aunt, ma and pa used to\"....blah blah. So boring. Had to skip most of those parts. Also im not sure what's the point of writing pages and pages of Annie in her wolf form. We get it, her wolf likes her mate but we don't want to read...

I don't even know where to begin. This book had everything that the last one did, which the fourth one was my favorite. By the way. It had the misunderstandings, The confusion of rejection, but in this one one thing was very clear. (SPOILERs AHEAD) SHE rejected HIM, and then being an 18-year-old boy at the time he blew up at her and then regretted it for the next 6 years like an idiot. He said some really awful things before he left. I'm glad we got a lot of his perspective in this one because...
