The Warrior King: Inferno Rising, Book 3

by Abigail Owen

About this book

Meira Amon has always preferred the predictable logic of computers to the volatile nature of people. As a phoenix determined to avenge her parents, she makes the ultimate sacrifice by pledging herself as queen to the dragon shifter King Gorgon. She expects a political alliance, not a collision of hearts that threatens to burn her world to the ground.

Enter Samael Veles, the Black Clan’s fiercest warrior, a man defined by duty and iron-clad loyalty to his king. When he catches a glimpse of the woman destined for his monarch, he knows his life is forfeit. But when a tragic accident leaves the king dead and Meira blamed for the destruction, Samael faces an impossible choice. He must decide between the clan he has served for a lifetime and the forbidden, fated mate he is sworn to protect from their wrath.

This high-stakes paranormal romance masterfully blends the found-family dynamics of the Inferno Rising series with a smoldering reverse-harem tension. It is a gripping tale of duty clashing with desire, where every page crackles with dangerous magic and instant, undeniable chemistry. If you crave intense shifters, slow-burn passion, and epic destinies, prepare to be consumed by this unforgettable journey.

Samael and Meira

March 14, 2025

This series just keeps getting better and better! The Warrior King was an intense, emotional, and utterly captivating read, and I cannot wait to dive into Angelika’s story next! Meira Amon has always been the quiet, thoughtful one among the phoenix sisters, but don’t let that fool you—she is fierce, determined, and incredibly powerful in her own way. Her unique ability to teleport through mirrors and reflective surfaces is absolutely fascinating, making her a deadly force when she chooses to...

Really enjoyed this new forbidden love, fated mates romance!

Samael is a black dragon, close to the black dragon king and unfortunately believes the woman promised his king he's sworn...

Meira and Samuel - A swoon worthy epic tale of love and duty

There are some books that the story and the characters are so rich and three dimensional that I fall into the story and feel an integral part of it rather than just a simple voyeur. The story lives and breathes - it makes you want to hurry up and finish while simultaneously wanting to slow down to make it last. The Warrior King is one of those stories. It has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous excitement, cut throat and loyal supernatural creatures,...

You should probably have tissues for this one...

The Warrior King is book 3 in the series and follows right on the heels of book 2, The Blood King. As stated in my last review, you COULD read this by itself, but you'd take a while to get the grasp of things, and you'd miss a lot of juicy background that really fleshes this tale out; because it's basically one story, just split into four (one for each sister). The book is written in third person omniscient perspective and from multiple character's point of view, though primarily the leading...

Good book!

Ok let me start out by saying this was another good book added to an already awesome series. Good but not great. I absolutely love this world Mrs. Owens has created and I have eagerly awaited each book release. It has love, action, thrilling moments that keep u in the edge of your seat. It has one really horrible villain that u just hate with a passion right along with the characters. And even better is that, even tho u know it has to have a happy ending, u almost fear it won't. U almost fear...
