A Frost Filled Christmas (Ribbon Series)

by Penelope Barsetti
Betrayal cuts deeper than any claw, and for one woman, the wounds inflicted by her husband have severed the bonds of loyalty forever. Forgiveness is not on the table, and reconciliation is a ghost of a past she refuses to revisit. Driven by a newfound resolve, she seeks out Queen Rolfe to demand the dissolution of their marriage, leveraging an old debt that the Queen is finally forced to settle.
This gripping conclusion to the Forsaken trilogy masterfully blends high-stakes shifter politics with the raw intensity of a fractured romance. As the walls close in, the protagonist must navigate a treacherous landscape where alliances shift as quickly as the moon. Fans of the paranormal romance genre will be captivated by the complex power dynamics and the emotional turbulence that defines this final chapter.
With its fast-paced narrative and deeply satisfying character arcs, this series is a must-read for those who love binge-worthy tales of supernatural intrigue. Whether you are drawn to the tension of enemies-to-lovers tropes or the visceral thrill of shifter lore, this story delivers a powerful payoff. Prepare to be consumed by a finale that proves some broken things are better left shattered, while others are forged anew in the fire of defiance.

This was a fantastic book and trilogy. These were the first books I have read by this author and I loved them. Her writing is great and easy to read. Fantastic storyline! It’s intriguing and the characters were unique and well written. This book had a lot to cover on the journeys of Huntley, Ivory, Elora and Bastian, the Queen, Ian and Ryker and Effie. They had to take back the Kingdoms, build an army to take the capital and defeat Necrosis and then help the dragons free their mom and and...

I really enjoyed this series! I love a story with lots of plot and this delivered! ***SPOILERS*** Look - I would not have forgiven Huntley so easily. Two weeks? I would still have been in a full on gtfo of my face stage! And the reason why Ivory ended up forgiving him? It was just his dumb luck the cards played out that way. He was still a hot headed promise breaker! Yeah, Ivory’s dad deserved to die, but she also deserved a husband who doesn’t break his promises too. 🚩🚩🚩 Bastian though -...

Ok, I will be the first to admit that I'm having trouble getting into stories lately, which sucks for a compulsive reader like me. Luckily, I found Penelope's Forsaken Series this weekend, devouring all three books and wanting more. There was a lot to enjoy in this enemies to lovers adventure fantasy where revenge collides with forgiveness and kingdoms are undone and remade. So why the \"but\" in my review title and 4 stars instead of five? First, one more positive before my complaint. I...

I'm posting this review under all 3 books in case it helps readers decide to try it out. No spoilers here. The world building is insane! The characters are sophisticated and complex. They're beautifully motivated and there are zero one-note side characters running around, creating unnecessary drama for everyone else. Everyone has clear motivations for what they do or don't do and at no point does the author throw any of her characters under the bus. They all maintain their dignity and integrity...

Beautiful Ending to this amazing trilogy! I wondered whether Huntley and Ivory would ever remain together after book 2, and he killed her father. In all honesty, I understood both sides even though Huntley should have kept his promise. In The Three Kings, we get our answers as the whether this marriage could be saved. We spend some time learning more about the Necrosis and even the dragons. The mystery man who approached Elora, what did he really want with her? Even Ryker and Effie have some...
