Abby’s world is fracturing, and the fragile peace between the faerie and shifter kingdoms is crumbling right along with it. After her best friend, Lill, is accused of treason and the royal faerie family comes under fire, Abby finds herself trapped in a web of shifting allegiances and conflicting memories. With the truth buried under layers of deception, she must decide who to trust when every path leads back to the dangerous, alluring shifter world.
This high-stakes paranormal romance masterfully weaves together the tension of an enemies-to-lovers dynamic with the undeniable pull of fated mates. As Abby navigates a slow-burn connection with the men who once treated her with nothing but cruelty, she is forced to choose between loyalty to her past and the magnetic, forbidden pull of her future.
Invi Wright delivers a fast-paced, addictive narrative that keeps readers guessing until the final page. Packed with gripping twists, simmering chemistry, and intense royal intrigue, this installment is a must-read for fans of shifter fantasy. Just be warned: once you start devouring this series, the wait for the next chapter will be the hardest part of the experience.

I just love the way this author writes. And now I have to suffer in waiting while the third book is written. )

Just like book 1 I devoured this book! But I did myself a disservice convinced this series was a duology and by the end of book 2 I learned I was WRONG!!!!! Ahhhh I want to know what happens next. Invi.. you know how to hook us! Slight spoilers in the next bit here.. TWO MATES?!?!? A false mate? Spicy scenes with exploration and passion? What??? We’ve got enemies to lovers, friends to foes, a pending war and revenge. I can’t wait for book 3. I need it now. ) 2 people found this helpful

Story really picks up halfway through this book and what a pickup. Absolutely amazing character development, storyline and storytelling. Morally grey characters, enemies to lovers and juicy plot. Give this a try and you will not be disappointed. )
