Six years after his grandfather's passing, Dean Mathews is still stuck in a dead-end city life he never truly wanted. When he finally discovers a long-hidden letter bequeathing him a rustic farm, he leaves his insurance job behind to start over. He expects a quiet life of solitude, but he finds something much more complicated in Mikael Reed, the rugged, local carpenter he hires to restore the property.
What begins as a professional arrangement quickly shifts into a tense, slow-burn attraction. Mikael is a man of few words and mysterious rules, hailing from a secluded community known only as The Grove. As Dean grows closer to the enigmatic carpenter, he realizes that the land holds more than just crops; it holds a pack secret that defies explanation. When a haunting wolf begins appearing at dusk, the line between human and beast starts to blur, forcing Dean to confront the supernatural truth hidden in the shadows of his new home.
This captivating series opener masterfully blends pack dynamics with a deep, emotional second-chance romance. If you are looking for an immersive paranormal read filled with found-family warmth and undeniable chemistry, this wolf-shifter tale is the perfect starting point.

The Carpenter's Secret is an amazing story of a city man (Dean), bored with his insurance job taking on a life he always wanted as a farmer, and the carpenter (Mikael) that he hired to do all of the work around his grandfather's farm that he inherited 6 years earlier and only now decided he needed a change. Dean got a lot more change than he anticipated the first day Mikael drove up to find out what work was needed. The attraction between the two men and the connection they were developing...

I liked The Carpenter's Secret by Noah Harris. It was well written, and I enjoyed Mikael and Dean. I always like Noah's books about a human and werewolf pairing and this one was great, but it moved a little slow for me. It was still plenty hot, and I liked the chemistry between Mikael and Dean. The book does end in a happy for now ending but this is just the first book in a new series called Family Secrets, and the author has promised that we won't have to wait long for the next book. I'm...

New York author Noah Harris (also known as John Harris) is a 28-year-old bisexual man currently single and living in a small apartment in New York City. Though somewhat shy he is a humanitarian who sees the world in which we live as a community bonded in a natural approach to our feelings and ourselves and our interaction with others. His bisexual nature allows him to create well rounded characters – most all of his novels are M/M romances but they are much more than the usual erotica we...

3 Stars All Around This book was a Wolf shifter (Mikael) and Human (Dean) pairing set in a paranormal universe that ends in a HFN which will continue following the same characters storyline into the next books. I thought the writing was okay. There was a lot of dialogue and background on Dean compared to the actual storyline happening around these guys. I am hoping that in book two we get some more intense plot since we learned so much about these characters in this first book. I need a lot...

Noah Harris has always been one of my favorite paranormal authors but with this story he has redefined the way I think about paranormal. This book was a little slow at the beginning for me but I know that I can always rely on a fantastic story from Noah Harris so i stuck with it and was not disappointed in the least. This is the story of Dean a man who has decided to take over the family farm that he has inherited when he has become bored with his insurance job. When Dean moves out to the farm...
