The Bite (Moon Blood Saga)

by Z.W. Taylor

About this book

Charlotte is running from a nightmare. Desperate to escape a violent past, she leaves behind her identity, her jewelry, and her California life to disappear into the vast, unforgiving Alaskan wilderness. She craves the silence of the trees and the safety of isolation, believing that in the middle of nowhere, she can finally be free. But the wild has its own set of rules, and some predators do not hunt for sport—they hunt to claim.

A brutal, savage attack leaves Charlotte wounded and fighting for survival, but the bite on her leg is far more than a physical injury. It is a catalyst that shatters her reality, dragging her into a dark, primal world she never knew existed. As her senses sharpen and her body begins to betray her, she realizes that the quiet life she sought is gone, replaced by an intense, dangerous destiny tied to the wolf.

Blending visceral paranormal suspense with a haunting dark romance, this story breathes new life into the shifter genre. It is an emotional, gritty descent into the unknown, perfect for readers who crave high-stakes tension and a fresh, grounded take on the classic werewolf transformation.

Good story, fresh

I loved The Bite by ZW Taylor. It takes the werewolf story in a direction I haven’t seen before and makes it feel real and emotional. The writing is clean and pulls you in right away, and the characters feel like real people you actually care about. I especially liked how it showed the raw and scary parts of becoming a werewolf while still keeping the human side front and center. It felt fresh, exciting, and I couldn’t put it down. ) One person found this helpful

This version of The Bite was so different than the one I read on Wattpad years ago. I think I liked the Wattpad version a little more, but I don't mind most of the changes that were made. First off, what I did like: 1) getting more of a backstory on Charlotte and Nate's abusive relationship and the challenges of escaping a relationship like that despite the physical abuse, 2) seeing a softer side to Levi's character (the Wattpad version had him very abrasive most of the time), 3) Charlotte just...

Not the same story, but still amazing

I read this book in two days. It was fantastic, and the characters incredibly relatable and amusing. The plot is riveting. That said, I read the original story on Wattpad several times because it was one of my favorites (Which is why I bought the book) And I feel that it is important to note that this is not the same story, but a new version of it. I made the mistake of constantly comparing the two, pinpointing the subtle and not so subtle differences. So, if I pretend to have not read the...

It's ok, good, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I think the author is a good writer, though. There are some grammar mistakes or more like parts of words missing, but the storyline is good. ) One person found this helpful

Really grabbed me

I've never read this author but have already ordered the second book of the trilogy. I can hardly believe that she knows exactly how the turn works and what the main characters are feeling. I couldn't put it down. )
