The Alpha's Unwanted Mate

by Ellie Valentina

About this book

For Angeline, the tradition of arranged mating is not just a custom; it is a cage constructed by her own mother. As the woman responsible for pairing the pack’s elite with suitable mates, her mother has set her sights on the most eligible bachelor around: the powerful and dominant Alpha, Clyde. With his fierce loyalty and commanding presence, Clyde represents the ideal match, but there is one glaring complication. While Angeline is forced into a union she never asked for, Clyde remains stubbornly unconvinced that he needs a mate at all.

This gripping paranormal romance dives deep into the tension between duty and desire. As a high-stakes shifter tale, it delivers the brooding alpha-hero trope with intensity, forcing two reluctant souls to navigate the aftermath of a devastating pack attack. Amidst the ashes of conflict and the struggle to protect their people, the pair must confront their true feelings before their bond—or their pride—is shattered forever.

If you are craving a fast-paced shifter narrative where love is as mysterious as it is volatile, this story offers an emotional journey of healing and unexpected devotion. Will Clyde learn to cherish his unwanted mate, or is their connection doomed by his initial resistance?

A good story.

Although this was a good, fast paced story, I found that unfortunately there were enough typos to interfere with the story. I truly dislike the fact that there were so many. One or two is understandable, but it seemed like there were enough to interfere with the story flow. I was irritated that even in the last sentence there was one. The use of 'had' instead of 'how' completely changes the meaning and makes no sense. I also felt like the transition from human to wolf was not detailed enough....

I liked the book just wish it went into more detail about the pup and Clyde. The way it ended should have had more detail but overall a good book. )

I thnk this story was great it shows how prejudices come in many forms. In the case of this story the heroine was the one who passed judgements without actual knowledge. The author did a great job of showing how she changed the longer she spent time with h er new mate. I also liked the fact that she gave the hero disabled children and showed how they dealt with them it's not often that shifter stories include people who are anything, but strong. The author did a wonderful job of incorporating...

Clyde. Loved him

More a 3.5 than 4 star. I thought the story was ok. I was happy Angeline was able to grow and move past her prejudices and become the woman at the end of the story. Unfortunately, with the story being so short, we only were able to see that. Once she opened up to Clyde, the story moved very quickly and it was over. I'm not sure I will purchase more. We'll see. )
