This was a great first book. An wonderful start to a series. Niki does an amazing job of introducing us to her characters and her world while moving her story along. I loved the silver Lake Pack and her take on shifters. There are lots of plot twists and I didn't want to stop reading. Looking forward to reading the next book. ) One person found this helpful

really good for a first time author

For a first book I think the Author did extremely well. I also really like Niki Trento's writing style, which for a new author that is remarkable. I didn't catch any typos which is unusual for a first book. I do think a couple more experienced Beta Readers would benefit this author to catch storyline holes. And, I know trying to get in all the world build and a couple's romance detail would be hard to do in just 217 pages, but the story didn't hold my interest... I look forward to watching what...

This is a first read of this author and so glad my friend recommended her. This book is amazing. Captured my attention from page one and I didn't want to stop. Before I knew it I was over a third of the way through. Niki Trento is now one of my favorite authors and can't wait to read more. )

I was instantly in love with this tiny pack of broken people from page one. I love the way Barin has brought them all together and made them family. Watching his story unfold was a thrilling ride. Great start to a new series

I enjoyed this book. I loved the pack dynamics and how the Alpha wasn't a jerk who likes to control his pack with fear or violence like so many books do. I liked how they all worked so well together. My only complaint was i wish there was a little more depth in regards to the characters. Everything seemed a little superficial but I still really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the next book! ) One person found this helpful
