Styxx

by Sherrilyn Kenyon

About this book

For centuries, the name Styxx has been synonymous with betrayal, representing the vengeful twin brother of the legendary Acheron. Long dismissed as a villain, Styxx finally steps out of the shadows in this epic paranormal romance. Readers who love complex anti-heroes will be captivated as the truth behind his dark history is revealed, uncovering a life shaped by the cruelty of gods and the weight of an impossible heritage.

The narrative shifts between the ancient, blood-soaked past and a present-day apocalypse, blending historical grit with supernatural stakes. As an ancient evil threatens to consume the world, Styxx finds an unlikely ally in Bethany, the Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery. Their evolving bond is the heart of the story, proving that even the most broken souls can find redemption through trust and unexpected passion.

This is a must-read for fans of shifter-adjacent lore and grand-scale mythos. It is a sweeping, emotional journey that demands a box of tissues, offering the perfect mix of visceral violence and soul-stirring romance. If you crave total immersion, high-stakes loyalty, and a redemption arc that defies time itself, this masterpiece of the Dark-Hunter series is your next obsession.

More than I hoped for, Styxx is a must have!

September 11, 2013

Maybe I'm in the minority but I never hated Styxx. I felt sorry for him because I imagined how it would be to have your life screwed with by selfish gods before you were even born. From the minute he walked onto the pages of Night Embrace I knew he wasn't just another \"bad guy\" and that he too had dark secrets, much like Acheron. After all, if Ash's looks drew trouble to him, then surely as his twin, Styxx's did as well. So it was with child like delight (and a little drool) that I snagged my...

Total immersion escapism with lots of sex and violence

September 8, 2013

Epic in scope and length, Sherrilyn Kenyon's latest offering has everything. I mean that in the most literal way. Absolutely everything. Eleven thousand years of ... well ... What would you like? If it's fantasy, sexual, violent, weird ... it's here. My reality has been a real drag lately, so despite the fact that I had stopped reading Ms. Kenyon's books a while back, I got this. Actually, to be fair, I forgot that I had pre-ordered it months ago, so when it showed up on my Kindle, I said \"Oh,...

Bring an open mind and huge box of tissue

September 10, 2013

After reading many of the reviews for Styxx, I find I must have been in a camp alone. I never really hated Styxx. I didn't like him much when he was on scene but I always thought there must be something major in his past for him to carry that much hate around for so many centuries. I also believed there was no way Acheron could have remembered their boyhood motto \"Brothers-always and forever\" if there wasn't a very strong bond formed between the two before it was broken. The only characters I...

A book worth crying over.

September 4, 2013

This is the 23 book in this series (not counting novella's) and since we first learned about Acheron's royal brat brother, I have hated Styxx. I mean lets be honest, the only reason why Styxx has ever done anything for Acheron was because Artemis forced Styxx to experience Acheron's life. So, when this book popped up on Amazon for pre-order, I refused to push the button. Why do I want to read a story about a spoiled brat who realizes Ash actually had a horrible life and had a sudden epiphany and...

Heartbreaking and truly viceral of a book!

September 9, 2013

Let's see, how do I accurately review this? I suppose I could describe this book as heartbreaking, gripping, viceral, and gutwrenching. I never thought I would fall in love with a character I hated...and hate a character I used to love and then come to treasure them both. Definitely not for the faint of heart, to be sure. If I thought Acheron and his backstory was sob worthy... whoa. Styxx is...well, let's just say that BOTH books should have come with a trigger warning for rape, incest (yes,...
