A swoony second chance romance with a side of danger

March 25, 2023

I loved, loved the unfurling of Jules and Ruben’s second chance HEA. The story is filled with all the emotions, the connections and the love. This delicious story evoked all the feels for me. Expect to laugh, cry, gasp, cheer, grind your teeth, bite your knuckles, and swoon while reading. The story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. Jules is a witch and the enforcer for the New Orleans’ territory. Ruben is an old and powerful vampire who...

3.5 stars — I definitely enjoyed this one and the world and the background plot with the vampires and stuff…but I was up and down on my feelings about Ruben and Jules. I will admit that I probably was in the minority of not being overly excited for their story. I know there was definite build up of their past romance and the push and pull between them…but everyone gravitates to different things, and it’s Clara and Henry that have had me salivating more than anything. So something to consider...

Epic Second Chance with a WONDERFUL HEA!!

May 28, 2024

I have been looking forward to this book since we first met Jules and Ruben and felt that TENSION in book 1! My need for this book continued to grow as I was asking myself why Ruben hasn’t made a move and then I found out they were going on an adventure for work together where they would be alone for several months…count me in. I REALLY LOVED this book. We had tension building over 4 books + 12 years. We had past tidbits. We had two characters who clearly still felt something for each other but...

Second chance romance between the most powerful witch and vampire in NOLA

May 10, 2023

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶/4 **Summary & Thoughts** Jules is the head of her family, a powerful Enforcer witch, and the head of the New Orleans Coven. Ruben is the vampire overlord of New Orleans and reports directly to Jules. Over a decade ago they met and had an instant connection. But back then, Jules was young and untested. She didn't yet have the respect of New Orleans or the greater witch coven councils. She was so worried about losing herself to Ruben that she had to break it off in order to...

NARRATION Johanna Fairview narration as the FMC was AMAZING! I loved her new authoritative role and how she could narrate as someone so refine and yet someone who is finally losing herself to her wants. Aiden Snow narration continues to get more refine with each character and i loved it. This book definitely felt like the narrators are taking into account the other narrators inflections or persona. it bittersweet because i know this series is ending soon but i am living for it....
