Nobody Told Me Dragons use Libraries

by Lindsey Devin

About this book

Ripley is a librarian who treats her life like a meticulously curated archive, alphabetizing her trauma and keeping her world strictly ordered. Her peace is shattered when Arthur, an alpha dragon with a penchant for crash-landing, smashes through her sanctuary just minutes before closing. He is not just a force of destruction; he is a brilliant, cautious shifter carrying an ancient mystery that threatens to unravel everything Ripley has built.

This delightful paranormal romance masterfully blends the cozy atmosphere of a rare books room with the high-stakes intensity of a shifter adventure. As they navigate the misty, atmospheric backdrop of Edinburgh, the sparks between the buttoned-up librarian and the brooding, powerful dragon are undeniable. It is a classic grumpy-sunshine pairing that leans into the intellectual connection between two neurodivergent souls finding harmony in the chaos.

If you are looking for a fated-mates story that values brainy factoids and slow-burn tension over mindless action, this is your next obsession. It is a heartfelt, adventurous journey perfect for anyone who organizes their feelings into spreadsheets and dreams of hidden, magical archives. Prepare to fall for a dragon who says please while he turns your entire life plan upside down.

This adventure takes them from discovering his background to searching for information, to finding an artifact that can help them discover the missing piece to the clans existence. They then are...

Extremely well written. Remarkable characters and locations. The action is fast paced and comes at you from nowhere. The soul searching that Artemis and Arthur both endure builds a rich back story. And the unfolding love story keeps you on the edge of your seat. A really great read. )

A Studious Dragon

The premise of this book was a fun detour from the usual alpha dragons that claw and fight their way to the top. I really liked Arthur and Artemis, but there were some character traits for Artemis that didn’t track for me. For example, why would a brilliant scholar resort to thinking swear words. Especially when she quotes Homer when she’s in danger. A few errors generally get a pass from my inner editor, but there were enough subject/verb disagreements that it bothered me. While no one would...
