Jason is on the run, desperate to disappear, and his friends suggest the most outlandish hiding spot imaginable: shapeshifting into a guide dog. He expects a quiet life of service, but he never anticipated meeting Violet. As a woman determined to reclaim her independence after losing her sight, Violet is the last person he should be getting close to. The situation spirals into a delicious cosmic joke when Jason shows up in his human form to provide cooking lessons, forced to navigate the awkward reality of sharing a name with her furry companion.
This paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes suspense with a cozy, small-town atmosphere. The tension is palpable as Jason struggles to keep his shifter secret while falling for the very woman he is supposed to be protecting. It is a unique take on the fated mates trope, where the connection between the leads transcends the boundaries of their unusual circumstances.
Readers looking for their next addictive read will fall for the perfect balance of sizzle, humor, and heart. Between the hilarious misunderstandings and the undeniable chemistry, the story proves that sometimes the most complicated plans lead to the most beautiful beginnings. It is an unforgettable, feel-good escape.

There were a few moments where the plot felt a little unclear and left me wondering, but it didn’t take away too much from the overall charm of the story. I also really appreciated the disability representation, as it added an extra layer of depth and inclusivity that made the book feel more inclusive (though I can’t personally speak...

I really liked the concept of the book. The author did a very good job conveying how becoming blind changed the way people interacted with the character. The primary male protagonist and his two \"brothers\" had been living on the edge of survival. That's where it dropped for me to three stars, good book, enjoyable read, not great. For...
