Darynda Jones is a masterful storyteller! She has a way of spinning humor, mystery and a touch of romance into her stories. I love that her heroines are middle aged and very realistically portrayed, well, besides the fact that they possess a bit of magic. Well, and their house is actually the great grandfather of one of the current residents. There’s just so much fun and a little craziness in this series that you will laugh, be a little scared now and then, and love the characters. ) One person...

The vulnerability and quick wit of the main charachters make them so endearing and loveable. A plot with twists and turns that kept me enthralled. The it was unpredictable. I didn't want to put this down. My only complaint is that it was over too soon and now I have to wait for the next book. This author quickly became my favorite when I found the Charley Davidson reaper series. I binge read the first ten books of that series and then painstakingly had to wait for each book to come out after...
