Melori lives a quiet, isolated existence as a healer for the wounded wolves who mysteriously appear on her doorstep. She stitches their gashes and serves them rabbit stew without asking questions, content to keep her life simple. But when her cottage is attacked and her best friend is revealed as a shifter, Melori is thrust into a dangerous world of pack politics and ancient secrets. She learns too late that the wolves she once fed are not just passing through; they are part of a pack fighting for survival, and the alpha, a battle-scarred man named Keer, is far from pleased that a human now knows their truth.
This gripping shifter romance expertly blends high-stakes tension with a deeply satisfying slow-burn dynamic. As a shadow war threatens to tear the pack apart, Melori becomes their only hope, possessing the unique knowledge required to counter a lethal, flower-based poison. Amidst the chaos, she discovers that her life of solitude was merely a prelude to something greater.
Featuring a vibrant found-family dynamic and the unforgettable comic relief of a pet chicken named Nugget, this story is a must-read for fans of paranormal romance. It is an immersive, emotionally resonant journey that earns every single spark of its eventual, hard-won HEA.

Love the humor in this book! I laughed out loud several times!! Mel is cool, but Nugget is the star of the book, obviously! )

There are authors you enjoy, and then there are authors you would follow anywhere. After Moonbright, Leah Ryan has firmly, irrevocably earned her place in the latter category! This standalone is an absolute treat from beginning to end, the kind of book that reminds you that romantasy doesn't always need to devastate — sometimes it just needs to be gloriously, brilliantly fun. Ryan wields wit like a precision instrument, her subtext layered so deftly beneath the surface that you find yourself...

Entertaining read. The flow is unique but in a way that feels true to the adhd side of the story. If you don't have adhd this might be a jumpy read, but any of us with it can relate. Another review claimed cliffhanger, which is not the case unless you can't read context clues. Overall cute easy low stakes read. )
