Great use of an ancient villain.

So refreshing to see one of the ancient baddies added to a modern story. Not only did they survive they are still violently active. And you have left so many openings for building on this story, it will be interesting to see if you continue on this one or start a totally new adventure. )

Steamy, interesting lore story. I liked it. It definitely isn’t the average story and you definitely havnt read it a million times. It’s an original piece and it’s pretty darn good. Kickass FMC, possessive but understanding MMC, paranormal lore that’s very descriptive and interesting, didn’t waste space with a bunch of fill in paragraphs just to drag a story on longer. I’d recommend. )

Finally, something different, the blurb really doesn’t do this story justice; there is a lot happening here. The author writes with excellent descriptiveness, painting a vivid picture for the reader and it captivates your intrigue and arouses the senses and emotions with deep action, edge of your seat suspense and deliciously deep fears that might or might not come true. Because of the mate bond and Silas being your typical dominate Alpha, his and Katie’s encounters are red hot so if you don't...

I'm leery of a new shifter book but this one was quite good. There weren't the pack element and a few other tweaks that differentiated it from the norm. Katie is in the mountains & feels like she's being watched. She's attracted the attention of a skin walker. Silas is far from home and catches the scent of his mate.
