This book is a prize! My only complaint is that I wanted it to go on much longer. As, who am I kidding....I want all these books to never end! I love the intrigue, the fighting, the supernatural aspects, and the love that she finds with each of the men with whom she shares herself. Anita is one lucky girl, but no more lucky than the men in her life; even if her issues get in the way sometimes....ok a lot of times. But it is reassuring that she does her best to learn from her experiences, which...

Best AB tale in quite some time

... well, I'm probably exaggerating a bit with the ratings, but in contrast to _Incubus Dreams_, this is ... a masterpiece. The book is 288 pages, the last 30-odd being a preview of Danse Macabre. And rather than the densely spaced tiny text, this is normal-sized text, double-spaced. It's like reading a Parker _Spenser_ novel -- and it reads nearly as fast. Short chapters -- even short sentences -- and, wonder of wonders, a plot that doesn't center on, or even consist primarily of (a) Anita...

It was nice to get to know learn more about the background to Micah and how he came to be what he is. It was also great to read a story line that had only Micah and Anita as the main to people in the story line and how even on what on the surface looks like a straight forward job nothing goes as it should for her and that her life is on the line again. I have and wolud recomend this book to freinds and family and to anyone else that likes the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter books really enjoyed...
