Match Me If You Can: A Chicago Romance About a Matchmaker Who Falls for Her Sports Agent Client (Chicago Stars Book 6)

by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

About this book

Annabelle Granger is the black sheep of a high-achieving family, a quirky disaster prone to bad hair days and even worse luck. Desperate to prove her worth, she inherits her grandmother’s matchmaking business with one goal: land Chicago’s most eligible bachelor as a client. Enter Heath Champion, a ruthless, high-stakes sports agent who demands nothing less than perfection. He is looking for the ultimate trophy wife, and he believes Annabelle is the only one bold enough to hunt her down.

While this story delivers a quintessential contemporary romance, fans of the paranormal genre will adore the way it leans into the found-family trope. Just like the unexpected bonds formed between shifters in a pack, the eccentric cast of characters surrounding Annabelle and Heath creates a tight-knit, protective circle that feels like home. It is a world where loyalty runs deep and the connections forged are as powerful as any supernatural pact.

Prepare for a wild, laugh-out-loud ride that balances sharp wit with genuine heart. As Annabelle navigates the cutthroat world of elite dating, she finds that the toughest negotiator in town is impossible to resist. This is a must-read for anyone craving a spirited, character-driven romance that proves love is the ultimate magic.

Fun flirty with a side order of quirky

I absolutely adore this book by Phillips! I had read her earlier books and they are more standard romance. This book has really good characters some of whom you will remember from earlier books but it is not necessary to go back as they are fully explained in this story. I loved the heroine who is feisty, not a bombshell but with an edge of humour. The hero is the usual self made millionaire but has more depth and angles. The main characters are supported by a cast of interesting secondary...

She may be the black sheep of her uber-successful family, but Annabelle Granger marches to the beat of her own drum. She's taken over her grandmother's matchmaking business, renamed it Perfect for You, and is determined to make it successful. As part of the quest to do so, she's gotten one of her best friends to set up a meeting with one of the most eligible bachelors in town, rich, gorgeous sports agent, Heath Champion. Annabelle may not have the first clue why Heath would need to go to a...

Nobody does it better!

The most obvious limitation of the romance genre is that the story, inevitably, is so linear, going ultimately to \"happily-ever-after.\" This being the case, it is the journey, and not the destination, which makes these novels so much fun. Susan Elizabeth Phillips, or \"SEP\" to her most devoted fans, is the current grande dame of this genre. No one writes a better romance than she does--hence her consistent successes. MATCH ME IF YOU CAN has all of the hallmarks of a SEP book: clever plot,...

Great Addition to the Series

MATCH ME IF YOU CAN is the sixth novel in Phillips' Chicago Stars series. It is the story of Heath Champion, the high powered agent to athletes and Annabelle Granger, a matchmaker. Annabelle has just taken over her grandmother's agency and wants to land Heath as a client. Heath is looking for a elegant, sophisticated wife that will help him with his career and demonstrate how far he has come from the trailer park he grew up in. Although Heath is attracted to Annabelle, she does not fit his...
