Love Sucks (Tails from the Alpha Art Gallery, 2)

by Cynthia St. Aubin

About this book

Hanna Harvey thought her life was complicated enough working at the Alpha Art Gallery, but things take a deadly turn when an eccentric, absinthe-swilling version of Vincent Van Gogh arrives on her doorstep. As a string of supernatural murders begins to plague the town, Hanna finds herself caught in the crosshairs of a killer with ties to her own mysterious bloodline. With her boss and alpha shifter, Mark Abernathy, suddenly missing, she is left vulnerable and searching for answers in a world where the line between art and mortality blurs.

This gripping second installment of the series masterfully blends urban fantasy with the high-stakes tension of a reverse-harem romance. As the bodies pile up, Hanna is forced into a heart-wrenching dilemma: trust the enigmatic alpha who holds the secrets to her past, or lean on the rugged, suspicious detective determined to solve the case at any cost. With multiple drool-worthy men vying for her attention, the romantic tension is just as volatile as the supernatural threats lurking in the shadows.

Cynthia St. Aubin delivers a masterclass in paranormal suspense, balancing sharp wit, genuine heart, and pulse-pounding danger. If you crave a story where the mystery is as addictive as the chemistry, this is your next obsession.

Even Better Than the First

May 19, 2020

I didn't think it was possible, but Love Sucks turned out to be even better than Love Bites and that book was awesome! Besides having the requisite hotness at so many levels and so many men, the mystery, intrigue, and humor kept me swiping the pages on my Kindle to read just one more chapter, then I was at the end, and now I'm anxiously awaiting the NEXT book...you might even learn a little bit about art. No spoilers in my review but here's what you need to know: The characters are super...

St. Aubin's trademark humor and heart

St. Aubin takes us back into the chaos that is Hanna's life starting with an intriguing prologue that promises danger. I binged Love Sucks over a couple of hours and have zero regrets beyond the intense craving for soft cheeses. If you've read the blurb, then you know that the artists are being hunted by something. The quick pacing and tension from the escalating threats had me rushing to turn pages. Abernathy is his same broody self, but we learn a bit more about him beyond the fact that he is...

A great second installment!

When new threats and crazy werewolves follow her every steps, whom to trust ... First thing to say I hate the author, she had me on edge for almost the whole book because of the opening scene. After, I loved this book even more than the first one. When I often think the middle book in a trilogy is the weak one as it just ties some knots but leaves most for the last installment. But here, the story was going better and better chapter after chapter. I did even forgive her Morrison’s lapse. Sorry...

Witty and whimsical

\"I felt a twinge of satisfaction. If I couldn't be right, I could be irritating.\" Cynthia St. Aubin is a gifted author who employs a healthy dose of wit and whimsy in her writing. 'Love Sucks' is the second book in her series 'Tails from the Alpha Art Gallery.' It picks up just a week or so after the conclusion of 'Love Bites.' Hanna's adventures continue when Vincent Van Gogh shows up and informs his friends at the gallery that someone is hunting werewolves. Hanna's alpha boss Mark...
